Conference: Re-exhibiting the Museum - new perspectives on nineteenth century exhibition, collection, and display, 12th November 2025

The conference aims to diversify the narratives of nineteenth-century museum-making, focusing on colonial, municipal and regional institutions, their collections and their visitors. I will be sharing new research about the roles of skilled working-class artisans as experts in decorative art collections in the West Midlands.
